How we got here
About us
The match
It started with a Bumble match in December 2022. Carolyn had just moved to Austin, and Nick happily stepped into the role of tour guide. A casual first date turned into an entire weekend of local spots, UT basketball, and a hike with his dog Winter. As the weekend wound down, Nick said, “I’m going to Indonesia in a few months. You should come.” Neither of them knew that weekend would be the start of everything.
Adventures together
Over the next few years, they built a life around chasing the next adventure together. They swam with sea turtles and fed elephants, hiked a hundred miles across Europe, wandered the streets of Paris, and danced at friends’ weddings across the country. But the trip they’ll never forget was New Zealand. They crossed the South Island in a camper van and cruised into Milford Sound, where, surrounded by waterfalls, Nick asked Carolyn to marry him.
The little moments
After three years in Austin, they packed up in December 2025 and made Utah home. They still love a good adventure, but they’ve found just as much joy in the everyday. These days, you’ll find them hiking with their pups Winter and Basil, trying out new coffee shops and restaurants, or gathering with family and friends to watch the latest sporting event, all while making memories together.
